Let’s Try This AGAIN

I keep toying with the idea where I actually write about what goes on in my world instead of facebooking about it.

As you can see from my previous posts here, it didn’t come together the way I thought it would,  so I kept using  FB and stuck a bunch of random posts at my main blog, Enduring Bones.

I guess I’ll try this again because I really am not loving FB and my main blog is getting sort of messy because it lacks form.

I was putting links to my blog at FB and people would like the pictures but they never hit the link, the result was a lot of my friends had no idea I’m a writer but they sure do love those pictures!

Along with that is the fact I know some people are like my dog sniffing a cookie on the counter that he knows he can’t have but he passes around and waits for me to turn my back before he pounces. Sneaky bastards…

and all they want to do is see what I’m ‘up too’ instead of just Effing asking me-which they could do because I know most of the people on my FB page.

So I will try this again.

I don’t expect a lot of traffic through here, but that’s ok. It would be nice to have a place to sort of meander around and work at my writing.

Bring Your Gun Y’all

There’s this cut and paste post going around FB where the poster says that their home is open to you and that you can bring your gun and not wear a face mask and that they will feed you and comfort you in these trying times.

Here it is:::

My house is a safe zone. Firearms are always welcome. Face masks not required. I’ve always got a soda or cold water and hot coffee. My table is non-judgmental. Any family or friend who needs to chat are always welcome. We can talk, share a hug, a laugh, a cry, or just listen. If you’re hungry, I’ll feed you. I will always do my best to be available… you are always welcome!! This is a value that has been lost… I’m hoping, at least one friend copies this and posts it. I did.

The important thing the poster wants you to know is…you can bring your gun.

I’m good. Really. So. I think I’ll just stay at home and order Pizza.

Bite Me, Ya Little Worm

“Facebook now turns that goal on its head. It claims that providing warnings about a politician’s speech is inappropriate, but removing content from citizens is acceptable, even if both are saying the same thing. That is not a noble stand for freedom. It is incoherent, and worse, it is cowardly. Facebook should be holding politicians to a higher standard than their constituents.”

Zuckerberg Faces Staff Anger, as Black Lives Matter Protests Continue Across America

I’ve been sent to Facebook Jail twice- once it was for quoting Trump with no comment from me and another time was for showing a Klan Rally with a link to a story about Trump’s father being arrested at said rally.

And of course there was the time they took some of my pictures down because they were ‘hateful’. You know, towards Trump.

If I were paranoid I’d wrap some tinfoil around my head and go hide out in Walmart because it could feel like someone is out to get me.

As it stands, this happens a lot in FB world to a lot of users.

Somebody doesn’t like your post and they report it and Facebook pulls it down because, well. Who the heck knows? But You can bet your sweet emoji there is a standard at Facebook and it’s started to look like it’s twisted to the right.

So I’ve got these blogs and sometimes people read them and as a writer that should be all that matters.

I mean, do I really need to share my insights with people on Facebook that are just nosey about my private life? How many people are really interested what I think or feel because I’ll tell you right now, the answer is not THAT many.

So I should be doing more to reach out and support other writers and bloggers and I should be doing my part to encourage people to speak up and speak out about what moves them because in the world of Facebook, those days are numbered.
